DIGITAL EXHIBITION EMILE JAQUES-DALCROZE

Digital exhibition Emile Jaques-Dalcroze : music in movement

It's up to you!

Under the title Emile Jaques-Dalcroze: Music in Movement, the Institut Jaques-Dalcroze realized a digital exhibition, in order to reconstruct the impact of the research that this humanist and pioneer undertook on music, art, pedagogy and science in the 20th century, at a time when new ideas and achievements proliferated.

Inaugurated in 2004, in Geneva, the exhibition has been designed for the broadest possible audience, thanks to the support of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland and the Switzerland Commission for UNESCO. After Tokyo and Dresden (2004), and Bienne (2005), it will turn in 2005 and 2006, around different places in Poland.

The exhibition has been translated into six languages, available on CD rom, in order to facilitate its international distribution via the network of Dalcroze centres, all of which have stemmed from Jaques-Dalcroze instruction, and those who acknowledge his ideas and his creativity.

That's why we are presenting the exhibition to you, and asking if it would be possible for you to introduce this one in any manifestation of yours, single or in connexion with any other event or other organism.

Are you interested in the promotion of Dalcroze pedagogy's actuality and future, and wishing to inform the public about your work and the activities of your organization? The exhibition is ready for you; its multidisciplinary approach let each host institution free to organize its own event program through it.

Please find in the joined documents some informations about the 26 boards
of the exhibition, and a technical file about its realization. We stay in
touch for any question. It's up to you!
